How we work

Editorial Policy

How we assess prop firms

We review from the documents: a firm's published evaluation models, rulebooks, terms of service, pricing, and marketing, read against the public record — and we say which is which. Unless a review states otherwise, we have not traded a funded account with the firm under review; we are assessing what is published, because that is the contract a buyer actually signs. Claims we cannot verify are attributed ("the firm advertises…", "per the company", "as of this writing") rather than repeated as fact. Payout totals, profit splits, and "verified" badges are treated as marketing exhibits unless audited figures stand behind them, and regulatory statements are hedged to their sources — we characterise the UK rules cautiously and give no legal or financial advice. We never invent quotes, statistics, payout figures, or dates.

What our scores mean

Scores run 0–10 and are judgments, not averages of sub-scores. For a prop firm, a 7 is a product whose published terms are worth a careful buyer's time, with real trade-offs stated. An 8 means the rulebook, pricing, and disclosure are clearly better than the sector's habit. A 9 is rare and would require a level of published proof — audited payout figures, for a start — that, as of this writing, no firm we have reviewed provides. Every review lists genuine cons; in this sector, a review without teeth is an advert.

Disclosure

Prop Press is a commercially supported publication. Posts that contain affiliate links, and posts that are sponsored, carry a disclosure at the top of the post, and sponsored links are marked as sponsored in the page's code. Sponsors never see, edit, or approve editorial copy, and no score or conclusion can be bought — see the advertise page for what is and isn't for sale.

Bylines

Prop Press publishes under house bylines maintained by the editorial team. Reviews run under the byline of our editor, Nora Fenwick — a disclosed house pen name, in the tradition of publications that write under a masthead identity — and news runs under "Staff, Prop Press". We do not publish fabricated author biographies or invented credentials.

Corrections

If we've published an error — a rule we misread, a term that has changed, a date, anything — we want to know. Reach the editorial desk via the contact page. We correct promptly and note material corrections in the post.
